LLM Memory

LLM Memory in GTWY: Make Your Chatbot Remember and Personalize Conversations

Most chatbots think fast but forget fast.
They answer a question, complete the task, and wipe everything as soon as the session ends. Useful — but not human.

GTWY changes that with LLM Memory, a feature that allows your chatbot to remember important details from past interactions and use them to create more natural, personalized, and continuous conversations.

This turns one-off chats into long-term, human-like experiences — ideal for support, sales, onboarding, and interactive assistants.

What LLM Memory Does

LLM Memory allows your chatbot to retain information shared during a conversation and recall it later. When enabled, it can:

  • Remember user-specific details — such as names, locations, and preferences.

  • Continue contextually — maintaining flow between messages.

  • Offer personalized replies — making users feel recognized and understood.

When turned off (default), your chatbot forgets all data once the session ends — starting fresh each time.

How to Use LLM Memory in GTWY

Using LLM Memory is simple and requires no coding.

1. Toggle Memory ON or OFF

In your GTWY chatbot settings, switch LLM Memory ON to activate it.
Turning it off resets the chatbot to stateless mode — useful for generic or privacy-sensitive use cases.

2. Define What to Remember

In the instruction field, describe what information the chatbot should retain.
Examples:

  • “Remember user’s name, email, and last product purchased.”

  • “Keep track of preferred language, color, and size for future recommendations.”

This helps you control exactly what the AI should recall and how to use it later.

Example

User: My name is Alex.
(Later in the chat)
Bot: Nice to meet you, Alex! How can I help you today?

By remembering the user’s name, the chatbot delivers a smoother, more personal experience.

Best Practices

  • Define memory simply: “Remember name, email, and last order.”

  • Use memory where personalization matters:

    • Customer support

    • Sales and product recommendations

    • Booking or travel assistants

    • Loyalty and retention bots

  • Respect privacy: Store only essential details.

Why It Matters

LLM Memory makes your chatbot feel less robotic and more human.
It creates continuity, builds trust, and elevates every conversation with personalization.

For anyone building modern AI assistants, LLM Memory isn’t optional — it’s the difference between generic interactions and meaningful intelligent experiences.
